Where once stood a former agricultural building, now stands a striking 4-bedroom home conversion in North Yorkshire. Due to being a Class Q (prior notification) development this project did not require full planning permission.
Guide To Class Q ConversionsFluidity and space were part of our client’s vision which led to the design of an open plan conversion with a spacious living and kitchen area.
We used large glazed windows and patio doors throughout the ground floor to maximise the scenic views of rural Yorkshire. While increasing natural light, the feature glass doors also enabled flexibility of indoor-outdoor living to suit the homeowners mood. A feature that was pivotal during our concept and design process.
Our ProcessThe choice of a timber exterior was driven by the desire to create a sustainable and natural living environment. The contrasting redbrick and timber front, along with the perfectly blended wooden rear exterior, gives the house a stylish Scandinavian finish that is both visually striking and environmentally conscious. The use of carbon-neutral and energy-efficient materials in the construction of this beautiful home is an inspiration to us all.
