Oak Framed Extension
A single storey green oak framed extension becoming part of an open plan dining kitchen.
The resulting space was spectacular, in keeping with the traditional rural property but adding a contemporary twist with large glazed panels. The extension allowed panoramic views into the garden and countryside beyond.
A covered veranda area was incorporated to shield the southerly sun and to stop the extension from overheating, the veranda also creates a covered outdoor seating / dining area. The extension was constructed using traditional oak framing techniques.
