Planning permission was granted in March for a stunning contemporary extension to the historic Old School House in Whixley (Between Harrogate and York).  The design incorporates a glazed link to discreetly connect the former school house and the new extension.  The new elements will be constructed of cedar cladding, smooth white render and capped with a crisp zinc roof.

The planning permission also included for the conversion of the garage into living accommodation and new access gates to the property.

Internally we have completely reconfigured the spaces and reordered the living accommodation to make the most of the grand double height rooms within the exisitng school.

We are looking forward to appointing a contractor and project managing the build. Updated construction pictures to follow shortly.
